Near InfraRed Handpiece (NIR)

The NIR laser handpiece uses Near Infrared technology, a safe infrared light that heats the tissue under the skin’s surface, tightening and improving the skin 

The NIR handpiece stimulates the infiltration of fibroblast and the formation of new collagen, enhancing the tightening effect and helping to bolster the skin against future aging. Healthy collagen in the dermis helps maintain the skin’s youthful resiliency and texture for long-lasting benefits in treating sagging and re-contouring.

IN-Motion™ Technology Ensures Comfort

Cosmedics' laser uses the latest IN-Motion Technology, which is a breakthrough in patient comfort, speed of procedure and repeatable clinical results. IN-Motion provides concurrent cooling with a gradual thermal rise to the target therapeutic temperature, so that there is no risk of injury and the procedure is virtually painless for the patient.

What type of laser machine do Cosmedics use?

Cosmedics Skin Clinics use the Soprano laser machine.  We have spent a lot of time researching the options and chose Soprano as we believe it is the very best laser technology available today.  

Despite acting deep within the surface of the skin, laser treatment is surprisingly comfortable and results are fast and long-lasting. 

Does laser skin tightening hurt?

With other systems, laser skin treatment can be uncomfortable.  However, with the Soprano system, you will experience a warming sensation but no discomfort.

Is there any preparation or aftercare required?

We advise patients to minimise exposure to the sun, sunbeds or self-tanning before and after laser skin tightening treatment.  Skin preparations such as retinol, glycolic or acne preparations should also be avoided and certain medications will make the skin sensitive to the laser light.  This will be discussed at your consultation.

How much does the laser treatment cost?

Who will perform the treatment?

Your laser skin therapy will be carried out by a fully trained and highly experienced laser therapist.
