Doctor Consultation / Assessment

Patients come to our clinics for the same reason that the underarm sweating is simply not controllable with deodorants. We take a thorough history to determine if there are any possible underlying medical reasons (which is rare) and discuss treatment options

Most patients simple want a cure or relief from this and luckily BOTOX® injections are FDA-approved for severe underarm sweating that is inadequately managed with topical agents.

The treatment is a series of tiny injections and that unbelievably are NOT PAINFUL. All patients say how amazed that it does not hurt and how quick and simple the whole process is but most of all that IT WORKS.

You can return to normal activities that same day. Repeat treatments also give longer lasting results over time. Our stop sweating clinics are in London and Bristol.

Other excessive sweating treatments

The most common methods for stopping sweating in the armpit or underarm area are antiperspirants and deodorants. Products such as Mitchum based can be helpful. Stronger aluminum hydroxide preparations like Driclor are applied at night. These can be helpful in stopping sweat for a few months. However, a tolerance can be generated in which case the effectiveness diminishes. Also patients can be put off by the skin irritation that can quite often occur. Other home treatments such as iontophoresis are effective but again expensive and time consuming and need to be done 2-3 times a week. It is the preferred method of choice for sweaty hands and feet.

    1. Hello, a consultation with one of our experienced doctors is £50, although this is redeemable against the price of treatment on the day, so you can discuss your requirements and suitability for treatment in confidence and with no obligation. Please call 020 7386 0464 or email info@cosmedics.co.uk

  1. Do you offer payment in monthly instalments cause I cannot afford to pay £450 at once 🙁 thank you in advance

    1. Sorry, we don’t have any payment schemes. We do occasionally have special offers which might be of interest – nothing right now, but do keep an eye on our Facebook/Twitter.

  2. Do you have any treatments that stop sweating in any other parts of the body?

    Also..

Would I have to shave my under arm to have this done?

    1. We also treat hyperhidrosis on the hands.
With regard to the underarms there is no need to shave, just a trim of the longer hair.

    1. It is best to treat the underarms and hands first. Getting a positive result can have a psychological effect and therefore improve the feet. Injecting the feet is very painful and as such not well tolerated. By comparison, injecting the hands and underarms is not too uncomfortable and can deliver results quite quickly.

    1. The price for forehead sweating treatment (male) is £330 and underarms are £450. Our doctors can normally do both on the same day. Please book a consultation with one of our doctors for an examination and confirmation of cost/treatment.

    1. Yes and this can be a very effective, especially on the forehead. Treatment would normally involve 2 areas of Botox, which costs £310 for women. Our doctor consultations for this treatment are designed to provide a proper assessment, quotation and advice on the best treatment for you.
