Hybrid dermal filler

HArmonyCa® is a double ingredient, hybrid dermal filler made by Allergan, manufacturers of Juvéderm
Hybrid dermal filler

HArmonyCa® is a double ingredient, hybrid dermal filler; the latest to complement Allergan’s Juvéderm filler range. It combines the benefits of the traditional dermal fillers that give immediate visible volumisation and lift alongside the calcium hydroxyapatite spheres that augment the effect with collagen synthesis and skin tightening.

HArmonyCa® is injected into the side part of the face near towards your ear and hairline to augment the loss of collagen and fat in these areas as we age naturally. The tightening effect from the collagenesis when positioned in this area helps pull back the skin to elevate the jowls and cheeks.

The treatment result profile means you have an immediate lift with the filler component whilst the collagenesis takes place over the next 1-2 months to lift and tighten the skin. This will ultimately cause long-term lifting and skin tightening to last for about 18 months.

How is HArmonyCA different?
  • HArmonyCa vs Juvederm
Juvederm consists solely of Hyaluronic acid dermal filler whilst Haromyca has an additional ingredient called calcium hydroxyapatite known as a hybrid filler. This stimulates collagen so lasts longer and tightens the skin.
  • HArmonyCa vs Ellanse/Sculptra/Lanluma
Harmonyca is a new type of filler called hybrid filler that has benefits of both dissolvable dermal fillers and calcium hydroxyapatite which is known for biostimulation of collagen.  Ellanse / Sculptra / Lanluma are different formulations made up with varieties of Poly Lactic Acid that also stimulate collagen but don’t have any immediate lifting effects.
  • HArmonyCa vs Profhilo
Profilho works to deeply hydrate the tissues, smoothing lines and wrinkles and improving the quality of the skin over time but only lasts for 4-6 months. HArmonyCa not only hydrates with skin with hyaluronic acid but its additional ingredient of calcium hydroxyapatite means the results last longer and your skin as more of a lift also.

What our patients say

“I can see myself replacing normal dermal filler, as this product has the hyalouronic acid (filler) to give me the immediate lift, but also will stimulate my own collagen with the additional calcium ingredient. I think it gives a more natural and less filling lift, and a underpins the structure in the face as I age. Even after 1 week I feel my skin feels firmer”

HArmonyCa FAQ

Who benefits from HArmonyCa?

Close Icon

The typical patients who benefit the most from HArmonyCa are women who are aged between 35-65 that have noticed a loss of elasticity and firmness in their skin. This loss of skin strength contributes to sagging jowls and tired looking skin.

HArmonyCa is the real deal in terms of the non-surgical or liquid face lifts. No longer do you require overfilled cheeks with the pillow face effect to create a skin lift; instead with this new filler the biostimulation of your own collagen creates skin tightening and restores your facial structure.

How is the Harmonyca treatment different to other fillers?

Close Icon

It main differences are in the technique and the areas of placement. The injections are done with a blunt needle called a cannula that means there is almost no bruising and relatively pain-free as it glides under the skin to position the product. The product is then deposited in a fan like shape to create a mesh of product that ultimately acts are little growth plates for your collagen. Typically this is injected into the side of the face so that the tightening here creates a domino effect of tightening further forward on the face.

HArmonyCa® is administered into the skin superficially. So, it is safe and comes with minimal discomfort. Injection site bruising is highly unlikely, but it can happen. Commonly occurring minimal side effects (redness, swelling, pain, tenderness and itching) are manageable and self-limiting.

When can I see the results?

Following the treatment, the cheek and temple areas will be noticeably firmer and plumper in a natural result. Furthermore, any existing lines and wrinkles will be effectively smoothed out.

Even as the dermal filler gradually dissipates over approximately 12-18 months, which is the average duration of treatment results, the presence of calcium hydroxyapatite allows the effects to be maintained throughout this period of time.

Can HArmonyCa be dissolved?

Close Icon

If you are not satisfied with the result, you should not worry. Hyaluronic acid makes up 70% of the volume of the HArmonyCa filler syringe and can be completely dissolved by the enzyme hyaluronidase. Calcium hydroxyapatite cannot be removed, it gradually decomposes.
