Dr Perry Advises on Katie Price Boob Job Scars

03 Apr 2017 | Category: Press

mail-onlineWhen Katie Price was photographed topless on holiday in the Maldives, she exposed painful looking scars from her recent boob job.

Her 8th breast surgery took her chest to a 32GG, but the scarring was quite visible in pictures.

The Mail asked Cosmedics’ Dr Ross Perry to explain how such scarring can occur after extensive work.

Dr Perry explained that if operated in the same areas then scars are more likely to stretch and possible breakdown and come apart, causing problems with healing.

“They often don’t cause pain but can be itchy and irritating. The technology of implants has improved a lot since her original ones and they have less risk of problems and long term side effects. The shape can be chosen according to what the surgeon and patient feel is the best for them.”

“She is not a normal case for comparison given the size and number of implants she has had. Most women’s scars would be much smaller and less noticeable and not extend out beyond the normal crease in the breast.”

Katie’s breast size has gone up and down over the years including a complete removal of implants in 2014, but she told Loose Women that her latest enhancement was an impulsive decision.

“I was all healed and ready for the final procedure on my boobs. The surgeon said to me: “What size do you want? Same implants, a little bit bigger or bigger?”
“And me being impulsive, I just went: “Oh go bigger then!””

However, she says that there will be no more breast size changes after the latest procedure, saying :

“That’s it now, I don’t need any more surgery unless anyone thinks I can improve something. But no there’s no babies, no surgery I’m back to the old Katie Price again, on a mission to do my thing.”
