Is Botox good for forehead wrinkles?

Botulinum toxin A injections are an excellent choice for forehead wrinkles. Botox can be used to improve both sorts of forehead wrinkles – horizontal and vertical.

Horizontal forehead lines are the ones that run across the forehead. They can be quite expressive and become deeper when you frown. Some people can develop pronounced lines and creases even when the face is at rest, which can be quite ageing.

Vertical forehead lines are those that appear above the nose and between the eyebrows. These are also quite expressive and more pronounced when you’re cross or concentrating. These are medically referred to as glabellar lines. They’re also sometimes known as number 11 lines as there tend to be a couple in an almost parallel format.

Botox is one of the best ways to alleviate both types of forehead lines. It is a safe procedure and is not painful at all.

How long does forehead Botox last?

While Botox targets the muscles, the injections reduce muscle activity, which is the real issue. Botox injections temporarily prevent the muscles from contracting and producing wrinkles or creases between the brows by blocking nerve impulses.

On average, patients who receive Botox for forehead wrinkles may see results that last for 4-5 months. You can schedule future Botox injections to ensure that you maintain the benefit and many clients make regular appointments as part of their self-care routine. As Botox is a temporary treatment, you can adapt it to suit your requirements over time. It’s quite possible to adjust your dose as well as the position of injections in order to get the look you want.

What does your forehead feel like after Botox?

At Cosmedics, Botox is administered by professional Aesthetic Doctors using tiny needles. Therefore, pain should be minimal. You may experience minor stinging at the injection site after your Botox injections, but this passes very quickly. In addition, a tiny lump and/or localised redness may appear at the injection site, but this will diminish quickly. In around thirty minutes, your face should appear very much as it did before the treatment.

Can Botox ruin your forehead?

Some people go too far using Botox and this can give others the wrong impression about the procedure. Heavy handed Botox treatment can look fake – skin tends to be too smooth and even ‘waxy’ in appearance. Overdone Botox can even remove facial expression.

However, small doses of Botox do not ruin your forehead, expressions or other facial features. Properly done Botox injections temporarily paralyse the minuscule muscular nerve ends to reduce fine dynamic muscle movements, leaving a smoother and younger look with reduced visible lines and creases.

Can you get Botox just between eyebrows?

You can choose where to have Botox injections depending on the area of concern. Between the eyebrows is a popular choice, as Botox is very effective on the vertical ageing lines that can appear here. However, you may also choose to have Botox around the eyes or on the forehead/brow. Some clients have a number of areas treated at once for a more holistic result.

How much does Botox cost for the forehead?

Botox costs depend on the area being treated. Bigger areas or multiple areas will require more product as well as more time, so treatment prices will be higher to reflect that.

At Cosmedics Skin Clinics, treatment in their London and Bristol clinics costs from £275 for the first area. A consultation fee also applies, but this is redeemable against the cost of treatment carried out on the same day. All treatments are carried out by doctors and surgeons and the cost of treatment to get the look you want will be confirmed at the consultation.

You may notice some clinics price Botox by the unit. This is a more complicated way of pricing treatments. If you’re comparing prices, you may find it helpful to know that Botox for forehead lines will require between 14-18 units of the injection. The lines between your brows will require roughly 25 units.

What to Expect After Forehead Botox

Botox injections usually start producing results one to three days after your injections. You should see noticeable differences in the appearance of wrinkles forehead lines shortly after the injection. Full results can take 1-2 weeks to develop.

Depending on the individual, Botox treatments can last anywhere from four to five months, at which point treatment can be repeated and adapted as required if your priorities have changed.

Forehead Botox Cost

There is a lot of information to take in when looking for a Botox clinic. Consider the procedure, the location, and the price. It’s critical to understand what goes into a successful and effective treatment.

Close Icon

Botox is the best anti-ageing treatment for frown, forehead and eye wrinkles, and that is a fact! It is a worldwide success as the number one treatment shows no signs of diminishing, with over 500,000 face treatments in the UK alone.

How does Botox work?

Close Icon

Botox blocks signals from the nerves to the muscles. The injected muscle then relaxes. That makes the overlying skin lines also relax and smooth out.

Botox is most often used on forehead lines, crow’s feet (lines around the eye), and frown lines

At what age should you start getting Botox?

Close Icon

Both men and women typically start Botox in their late twenties/early thirties, with the most popular age group 30-60 years old.

Are the injections painful?

Close Icon

No as we use nano sized needles for pain-free injections. This also helps to minimise bruising and redness afterwards.

Does Botox make you look older after it wears off?

Close Icon

No. Botox essentially rests the skin; so that during the time the Botox is smoothing out the skin, it has a chance to repair.

This actually makes the skin look better for longer even after the Botox has worn off.
