About Cryotherapy / Freezing

This is the destruction of skin tissue by using liquid nitrogen to freeze the skin cells until they die.

The freezing treatment normally involves 5-10 seconds of the liquid spray being applied with a break of 1-2 minutes between treatment cycles. The duration and number of treatment cycles depend on the skin type and the nature of the problem.

There is a slight burning sensation during the procedure but this stops once the treatment has ended. It is quite usual for the skin to blister afterwards for a few days then go red. Most of the wounds would have healed in under a week.

Cryotherapy is a cheap, quick and safe method for:

All treatments are done by our doctors as this is a medical treatment and without expert care can cause problems.

Freezing off warts and skin tags cost from £160 and can be done at all our London mole clinics.

Excellent service from start to finish. Dr Rhys Stevens and the nurse both made me feel at ease. Quick and painless procedure, should have had it done sooner.

I was seen by Dr Brit Vardy for my mole removal. She was very good in explaining to me everything about the treatment. I am extremely satisfied with the service I received.

I had a lot of choices for mole removal, but the customer service I received on the phone steered me to this clinic. My mole was removed on the day of my consultation by Dr Britt Vardy. She was very professional and answered all my questions and concerns. Very pleased, and looking forward to the result once it has healed!

  1. I have a condition called DSAP (Disseminated Superficial Actinic Porkeratosis) on my arms and legs. I belong to a group of people with this condition and it is reported to respond very favourably to cryotherapy. Would this be something that I could come to you for? A dermatologist in Bristol has recommended this treatment for my lesions and I have a letter to my GP stating this. Please advise.
