Anal warts feel like a small lump in the anus. It can be quite uncomfortable as well as embarrassing.
Anal warts are classed as an STD (sexually transmitted disease) as they are generally caused by catching HPV (human papilloma virus) via sexual intercourse. See also genital warts.
The virus can stay dormant for many years, so it could relate to a previous partner, which makes the condition all the more awkward.
We offer confidential treatment for anal warts with creams, laser or surgery in a choice of private London clinics.
Treatments can be performed on the same day for peace of mind.
All doctors are fully qualified and trained in sexual health treatments and will offer you a safe discrete professional service that will give you the best and quickest results.
Cosmedics are now using a revolutionary microwave device that is the first use of its kind in the UK to immune modulate the wart virus so that the risk of recurrence is reduced by up to 90%.
| Wart removal treatment | Cost |
|---|---|
| Removal of genital warts (vaginal or penile lesions) with cryotherapy (freezing), laser and/or surgery | from £500 |
The cost of consultation with our doctors is £75. This is redeemable against the cost of treatment carried out on the same day.
Prices are a guide to the costs and the exact price can only be determined once the doctor has examined you in person. Most warts don’t need histology testing. However, in certain circumstances if the doctor thinks it is necessary, then they will discuss this with you and the related costs.

Anal warts are caused by human papilloma virus (HPV) and are passed on through contact during sexual intercourse. It’s important to remember that they can remain dormant for many years before emerging, so it may relate to a previous partner.
Anal warts are caused by a virus and it can take time for this to be eradicated by your immune system. That means that there is a small risk of recurrence in which case the treatments can be repeated.
Normal sexual relationships can resume 7-10 days after the treatment, after the wound has sufficiently healed. We recommend waiting a week at least, just to avoid irritating or infecting the wound.
We offer private treatment for genital warts and anal skin tags. However, we do not offer full sexual health screening services. NHS sexual health clinics are able to offer a discrete rapid full set of screening tests for STD’s (sexually transmitted diseases) or STI’s (sexually transmitted infections). You can speak to your doctor first if you prefer, or else book direct at most sexual health clinics. It’s best to research local facilities online or call your GP surgery for initial advice.
Your consultation and treatment will be with a GMC registered doctor. There is no pre-screening by a layperson and you will only need to discuss your warts with the person who would potentially be providing treatment.
