Our Medical Director Reviews Celebrity Results — Plus the Non-Surgical Alternative
From footballers to supermodels, the nose has become one of the most talked-about features in cosmetic surgery. This week, former England captain Wayne Rooney revealed he’d undergone corrective nose surgery to fix damage from two career fractures, while stars like Bella Hadid, Khloe Kardashian and Megan Fox have all been open about their own rhinoplasty journeys over the years.
But as our Medical Director, Dr Ross Perry, points out, going under the knife doesn’t automatically guarantee a better result. Sometimes it does. Sometimes it doesn’t. And increasingly, for people who simply want to refine, balance or soften their profile, surgery isn’t the only route available.
The celebrity nose job: a mixed bag of results
Rhinoplasty has been part of Hollywood glamour since the 1950s, when the small, narrow, slightly upturned nose became the beauty ideal of the era. Today, plenty of well-known faces have been candid about their own procedures, while others have simply faced years of public speculation.
Dr Ross has been reviewing some of the most talked-about noses in the public eye, and his verdict is refreshingly balanced: surgery can absolutely enhance a face, but it can just as easily strip away the character that made someone recognisable in the first place.
Take Bella Hadid, who has spoken about her rhinoplasty at just 14 years old, and has since said publicly that she wishes she’d kept the nose she inherited from her Palestinian heritage. Dr Ross agrees the surgery was technically accomplished, but says the earlier nose
“had more character and suited her face.”
Khloe Kardashian, by contrast, is held up as an example of rhinoplasty done well. Dr Ross notes her nose is now
“straighter, narrower and more refined,” calling it a genuine improvement, though he adds it’s “perhaps a touch too polished.”
Then there’s Mike Tindall, whose nose had been broken at least eight times during his rugby career, leaving him barely able to breathe. His corrective surgery wasn’t about vanity at all; it was about restoring function. Dr Ross calls it
“a very good result,”
pointing out that the surgery
“hasn’t turned him into someone else”
it simply tidied up an injury and let him breathe properly again.
And Donatella Versace, whose changing appearance has fuelled years of speculation, is one where Dr Ross actually prefers the earlier look, noting that
“the issue with rhinoplasty is that smaller doesn’t automatically mean better.”
The common thread running through all of Dr Ross’s assessments? A good result should still look like you, just better balanced. As he puts it when discussing Rooney’s own recent surgery:
“The important thing is that it still looks like Wayne Rooney, it doesn’t look over-operated.”
Why surgical rhinoplasty isn’t right for everyone
Traditional rhinoplasty can achieve dramatic, permanent change, but it comes with real trade-offs. It’s a significant surgical procedure carried out under general anaesthetic, typically requiring weeks of downtime, swelling, bruising and splints, with results that aren’t final until months later. It’s also a serious financial commitment, and because the changes are permanent, there’s little room to adjust course if the result isn’t quite what you hoped for.
For many people, what they’re actually looking for isn’t a completely new nose. It’s a smoother bridge, a more refined tip, or better overall balance with the rest of the face. And that’s exactly where a non-surgical approach can make a real difference.
Non-surgical rhinoplasty: subtle change, no surgery required

Non Surgical Nose Filler
At Cosmedics, we don’t perform surgical nose jobs, but we do offer non-surgical rhinoplasty, a walk-in, walk-out treatment using dermal fillers to reshape and refine the nose without any cutting, anaesthetic or recovery time.
Using carefully placed injectable filler, we can:
- Smooth out a bump or dorsal hump on the bridge of the nose
- Straighten the visual line of a slightly crooked nose
- Lift or refine the tip for a more balanced profile
- Improve symmetry between the nose and the rest of the face
- Camouflage the appearance of a larger nose by adjusting proportions and shadow lines
Because filler is added rather than removed, non-surgical rhinoplasty works best for smoothing and balancing rather than dramatically reducing size, but for the right candidate, the change to the overall profile can be striking. Many clients find it achieves the subtle refinement they were after, without ever needing to consider surgery at all.

Non Surgical Nose Job Before and After Results
The benefits at a glance
- No surgery, no general anaesthetic
- Results in around 30-45 minutes
- Little to no downtime: most people return to normal activities the same day
- Fully reversible, since filler gradually settles over time
- A fraction of the cost of surgical rhinoplasty
- Low risk when carried out by an experienced, qualified practitioner
Getting it right
As Dr Ross’s reviews of celebrity noses make clear, the best results, surgical or not, are the ones that enhance rather than erase. The goal isn’t a smaller nose for its own sake, but one that sits in proportion with the rest of the face and still looks unmistakably like you.
If you’re considering refining your nose and want to explore whether non-surgical rhinoplasty could work for you, book a consultation with one of our experienced practitioners at Cosmedics. We’ll talk through your goals, assess your suitability, and explain exactly what’s achievable. No pressure, no scalpel.
