Now Magazine: Marnie’s £50k Face – Expert Opinion

Now – ‘Britain’s Best Celeb Mag’ – keeps an eye on the changes in a number of celebrities’ faces and one such is Geordie Shore’s Marnie Simpson.

The feature shows the dramatic difference between current photos and those taken before she shot to fame on the MTV reality TV programme and says:

‘The Geordie Shore favourite looks barely recognisable these days’

Now magazine asked Cosmedics’ founder and Medical Director, Dr Ross Perry, to give his expert opinion on what cosmetic treatments or plastic surgeries could explain Marnie’s new looks.

She has already admitted to previously having liposuction, fillers, rhinoplasty (nose job) and two breast enhancement procedures, but the latest work shows further changes.

A cosmetic dentist commented on her new veneers, saying:

“Marnie’s veneers are just too white, which makes them look false. Her natural teeth would certainly not be as white as this and they look more forward than the original position. I’d prefer a young patient like this to consider orthodontics, with tooth whitening.”

However, the teeth are not the only change.  Dr Ross Perry estimated around £50k of work done to her face. He says:

“There’s quite a big difference between how Marnie looked at the start of her career and now. I’d suggest she’s also had some BOTOX® in her forehead and around the eyes to reduce expression wrinkles.

“It’s not clear whether she’s had work around her neck, but if she has, she may have had some BOTOX®, fat-dissolving injections or liposuction.”

Celebrity Cosmetic Treatments

Marnie is not the first celebrity to have over the top cosmetic treatments. Dr Ross Perry has been invited to comment on others before for Now Magazine, including:

Natural-Looking Facial Aesthetics

The more common trend is towards treatments which improve the facial appearance while retaining a natural look. This avoids any criticism of ‘over the top’ or ‘fake’ looking results.

Delicate and appropriate use of BOTOX and dermal filler injections can take years off a patient. As well as anti-ageing treatments, these can also be used to sculpt a more attractive appearance by creating a subtle brow lift, nose reshaping, lip enhancement or improving the contours of cheeks or chin.
