Now Mag: Lindsay Lohan’s New Face

Celebrity magazine Now asked Dr Ross Perry for expert information on cosmetic injections after fans expressed concerns about Lindsay Lohan’s appearance.

Lindsay was photographed passing through a Greek airport looking so puffy and swollen that she was barely recognisable.

The feature headlined:

‘Is that you Lindsay? The star’s face has fans concerned’

Now Mag Lindsay Lohan

After photographs circulated on the internet, fans took to social media to comment:

  • “That face looks awful, bloated. She should not be looking like that in her 30s”
  • “What’s happened to her face? She looks so bizarre. Like a cartoon of herself”

Now approached Dr Ross Perry, founder and Medical Director of Cosmedics Skin Clinics, for some expert opinion. Dr Perry has been carrying out cosmetic injections at the company’s London clinics since 2003 and has extensive experience of what treatments can deliver.

He said:

“Lindsay’s swollen face could be due to a combination of factors – lifestyle and possibly overuse, at a too young age, of non-surgical filler treatments into her cheeks and lips.”

Fans also were concerned that Lindsay’s lifestyle could be a factor, as she has had issues with alcoholism and drug abuse leading to several stints in rehab over the years.

Dr Perry agreed:

“Alcohol can make this happen if excessively consumed and general poor lifestyle choices such as partying and diet can lead to a puffy, swollen look.

“Lindsay could have had fillers to fill out her face as well as possibly some resurfacing laser techniques to remove her freckles and sun damage, giving a waxy appearance if overdone.

“Aside from the obvious, there could also be a medical reason for this type of swelling that we are not aware of that will hopefully settle in time.”

Natural-Looking Cosmetic Treatments

While the exact cause of Lindsay Lohan’s appearance will remain the subject of speculation, it does signal that the overdone face is not a look fans like.

Cosmetic injections don’t have to look overdone. At Cosmedics Skin Clinics, less is more and a natural look is the hallmark of the many treatments carried out, including:
