The results of the French presidential election will make Emmanuel Macron France’s youngest ever president, aged 39. 

Now the media attention is turning to his glamorous older wife, Brigitte Trogneux, who is a grandmother to 8 but looks much younger than her 64 years – 24 years older than the president-elect.

The Mail investigated what secrets could explain her youthful looks.

Dr Ross Perry was the first expert opinion to feature in the article, which says:

‘Whilst Brigitte has never discussed her beauty regime nor admitted to having any treatments, Dr Ross Perry, founder of Cosmedics clinics, believes her age-defying good looks are all down to her slim and athletic figure and smart, youthful hair cut that envelops her face and neck and hides any signs of ageing.’

Other experts point to possible use of aesthetic enhancements such as dermal fillers for tear troughs, nose to mouth folds and marionette lines and/or BOTOX injections, but the experts agreed if work had been carried out, it was done subtly and well.

Other suggestions of likely anti-ageing work included hair extensions to boost the volume in her bob, careful choice of blonde colour and highlights; with cosmetic dentistry suggested for her good-looking teeth. Her choice of clothing is flattering and youthful, while regular pilates or weight training were suggested to account for good tone and muscle.
