Many brides and grooms arrange skin and beauty treatments in order to look their best on the big day.
Wedding Ideas magazine features their round up of the best options to consider, with expert advice from Dr Ross Perry on timing.
Six months before your wedding
Laser, microdermabrasion, peels
Dr Ross Perry advised that these treatments should be started well in advance. He explained the benefits of each to Wedding Ideas mag.
“A non-invasive treatment as it rids the skin of its dead and dull surface layers, stimulating an increase in collagen production and rejuvenation.
“You can also expect to see a difference in the tone, texture, and colour. Microdermabrasion can be done as frequently as weekly or up to every eight weeks depending on your skin’s tolerance and desired cosmetic effects.”
Treatments can be as frequent as every two weeks.
Dr Perry says:
“Laser treatments are great to start having six months prior to the wedding as they can offer fantastic results, promoting an even skin tone and a natural healthy glow.”
Four Months Before Your Wedding
Wedding Ideas mag says this is the time to arrange cosmetic injections. The article advises:
“A ‘less is more’ approach is always best with Botox as you don’t want to be too frozen on your big day.
“Lip fillers are another popular option for brides looking for a fuller smile. Though bear in mind the same ‘less is more’ approach is required here. Following the injections, you can bruise and swell so you need a good few weeks to let things normalise.”
