Aqualyx® is quite well tolerated and side-effects tend to be quite minor and short term.
Common side effects (usually resolving within a few days to a couple of weeks):
- Redness, swelling or tenderness in the treated area
- Mild bruising
- Itching or warmth at the injection sites
- Firmness or small lumps under the skin as the product disperses
Less common side effects :
- Longer-lasting swelling or bruising
- Temporary skin numbness
- Infection (very rare when performed in a medical setting with sterile technique)
