Sculptra Injections - Non Surgical Facelift
Sculptra is a new product which has been specially developed to help the body to "fill-in" the lines, wrinkles and depressions which develop naturally over the years.
Sculptra is a polyl-L-lactic acid, which helps to stimulate the body's own production of collagen within the line or wrinkle, making the skin appear smoother and firmer.
It is best used in the cheeks to create a fuller face and higher cheekbones as well as lifting nose to mouth lines and jowls.

Procedure
After your consultation with the doctor you will be given some anaesthetic cream to numb the skin to be treated.
A few tiny injections are needed over the treatment area, which leaves the area slightly swollen. This settles over the next 12 to 24 hours. The sculptra treatment is over in 15 minutes and you can return to normal daily activities.
Further treatments may be necessary 4 to 6 weeks later to create the full effect.
Prices

Cost per session is £450
FAQs
Who will the sculptra treatment benefit?
Anyone who is looking to lift and remove facial wrinkles, jowls and gaunt-looking features, especially around the cheek and mouth areas.
How does it work?
Sculptra works in the lower layers of the skin in order to smooth and firm the treated areas of the face. It is a unique substance which is gradually and naturally broken down by the body. Sculptra is immunology inert, so that no allergy tests are necessary before beginning the treatment.
How soon will I see the results?
The skin will start to get fuller and firmer after 4 to 6 weeks, which is how long it takes to make new collagen. These results will improve with subsequent treatments.
Does it involve injections?
Yes, but they are not painful. Anaesthetic creams and injections numb the area to be treated and most people only experience mild discomfort. Applying an ice pack after the treatment will help calm the area.
How long will the effects last?
2 to 3 years depending on the number of treatments and which area has been treated.
What are the side-effects?
The most common side-effects with the use of Sculptra are mild tenderness and swelling after the injections. This generally settles overnight. You may occasionally get a small bruise, but this will settle over the next 2 to 3 days.
What can I do after the treatments?
Carry on life as normal. Make-up can be worn after the treatment and you can return to work the next day.
You will be given an aftercare leaflet with full instructions. Massaging the treated area for a few minutes 3 to 4 times daily is encouraged for at least a week afterwards.
