Moles also know medically as “naevi” are commonly found on the face and body and are usually harmless. It is possible, however, for a mole to become cancerous, and so it is advisable to regularly check any prominent moles. If you experience any redness, itching or bleeding from a mole or changes in colour or size it is advisable to consult with a doctor for a professional mole check. Skin cancers are on the increase in the UK and it is always good to have any moles or skin blemishes that you are concerned about seen by a doctor.
