Freezing/ Cryotherapy

Cryotherapy or freezing is a common method that is used to remove benign skin lesions and, in some cases, very superficial skin cancers or pre-cancerous conditions. It is a very quick, cheap and effective method for removing lesions that often does not leave much of a mark. It often causes a small blister and a little bit of swelling for a day or two afterwards and then the lesion that was treated often simply falls off. Repeat treatments can be necessary for certain lesions and, in rare cases, a mild loss of skin colouration can be present.
